Piraeus Cultural Coast - Architectural Competition

A competition piece completed as a design studio for submission to the Piraeus Cultural Coast Competition. The task was to take the old SILO grain building and convert it into a museum of underwater archaeology. The competition expanded to include a region of the port that we master planned and redesigned. We aimed to continually focus on the connection of the site to its history and to the importance of water in Greek culture. The final museum is a take on a vertical museum where a progression up and down through the spaces is necessary to experience the exhibits - Final Output of 9 A0 Boards - Critic - Alkis Tsolakis
